The school has a Governing Body, which comprises of parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, Local Authority representatives and co-opted members from the local community.

The Governors meet twice a term and the majority of
the work is spread between five committees - these committees have varying powers according to the
wishes of the main Governing Body.

These committees are:

• The Curriculum and Community Committee
• The Finance Committee
• The Personnel Committee
• The Properties and Premises Committee
• The Salaries Committee
• The Disciplinary Committee
• The Appeals Committee
• The Complaints Committee

If any vacancies arise for Parent Governors, a letter will be sent out asking for nominations and if necessary, an election will be held. The successful person would have the opportunity to contribute to the school and its work.
