At Turves Green Primary School we offer children a broad and balanced curriculum that promotes their spiritual, moral, social, cultural and physical development and prepares them for the experiences of adult life.
We aim to enrich this curriculum with the provision of experiences outside school in the form of short visits and longer residential opportunities.
All visits are linked to the work the children are doing in class as part of their topic and take place throughout the year. Children make visits into the local area and use local facilities such as shops, parks, the post office and other shops. They also travel further around Birmingham to places such as museums, the farm and art galleries. Other visits may include Blists Hill Living Museum or the National Space Centre. We will write to you to tell you about the visits before they happen.
In Year Six the children have the opportunity to take part in a residential experience which is always very exciting as for some children, it is the first time they will have been away from home by themselves.
At Turves Green Primary School we also offer a range of after school activities which run at different times across the year. In the past, these have included:
- Football
- Games
- Dance
- Junior Sports Leaders
We are always looking to expand the range of clubs we can offer. |
