The aims of the school are:
- To provide equal opportunities for everyone
- To provide a broad and balanced curriculum that is delivered to suit all abilities. Each pupil is encouraged to enjoy learning and to develop abilities and skills to the highest possible level
- To provide children with the key skills of Literacy, Numeracy and communication enabling them to develop the ability to question and argue rationally and become independent learners
- To provide opportunities for all children to express themselves through art, dance, drama and music and to take an active role in physical activities; to provide the opportunity for a residential experience
- To develop the whole person, spiritually, morally and culturally, encouraging respect and understanding of the needs, views and beliefs of others
- To create a positive learning environment in which high standards of learning, behaviour and appearance are expected and achieved
- To continue effective communication between the school and parents and the school and the wider community.
